22 Design Studio created a series of rings which were inspired by architectural design and urban style, made from cement and stainless steel. Smooth, cool concrete texture and various shapes of these rings emit calm yet inspiring design by the two young designers from Taiwan.
The new collection of rings are based on the Brutalist architecture of visionaries such as Louis Kahn and the concrete architecture of Japan's Tadao Ando. His work is characterized by simple geometry and an almost exclusive use of concrete, with the formwork holes left intact.
Like the original ring collection, Ando and Tatami carry the same concept and characteristics. The color may alter as it is used and exposed to the elements. Also, some collisions may cause the concrete to crack. Therefore, every piece reflects habits of its owner. It may alter day to day. Enjoy the changes as you continue to wear this ring.
