22designstudio was founded by Sean Yu and Yiting Cheng, who graduated from the Industrial Design Department of National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan in 2005. They named the studio “22” for a simple reason - to keep their passion, ideals and vision they had since they were 22 years old.
In 2008, Brand-new concrete formula through cooperating with Taipei 101 engineering team, through three-month trial and research, they started using the high-tech concrete, which has been used to construct the highest building in the world (as of 2008). They utilize concrete and transformed it into product design. Most importantly, they have researched and developed the unique concrete formula in order to be perfectly embedded with fingers. As a result, the new concrete rings have more enhanced density and duribility with a much smoother surface texture!
