Koichiro Tokumochi
|
新增網頁1Originally an artist for "Ukiyoe", color prints of everyday life in the Edo period, Mr. Koichiro Tokumochi is now specialized in iron sculpture of Jazz musicians. It all started from that one night in 1989, at a bar near Village Gate, NY, when Mr. Tokumochi sketched live jazz musicians unintentionally on a napkin. He was surprised to find how capturing the rhythm of musicians with "lines" coincides with the art of Ukiyoe. Now, Tokumochi's art can be seen in many upscale interior shops in Japan and collectors' house!
